Jenn Haney
Meet Jenn Haney
Jenn Haney brings more than 26 years of teaching experience and a lifelong passion for music to every lesson. Growing up in the Midwest surrounded by family musicians, she developed an early love for music that eventually led her to an international career as an opera singer. Today, she finds her greatest joy in helping children discover that same love of music while building confidence, discipline, and self-expression.
Jenn believes every child learns differently. Her lessons are energetic, encouraging, and filled with creative activities that keep students engaged while developing strong musical foundations. Whether teaching piano or voice, she meets each student where they are, helping them progress at a pace that is both challenging and enjoyable.
Creating a safe, supportive environment is at the heart of Jenn’s teaching philosophy. She understands that some students are naturally confident while others need extra encouragement, and she works hard to ensure every child feels valued, capable, and excited to learn. Through close collaboration with families, she helps students develop healthy practice habits and celebrates each milestone along the way.
Jenn has had the privilege of seeing many former students pursue remarkable musical careers, including singers who have appeared on American Idol, perform Off-Broadway, and build successful careers in Nashville and New York. While she is proud of those accomplishments, she considers every student’s personal growth and newfound confidence to be an equally meaningful success.
Jenn earned her Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance from the Kansas City Conservatory of Music before continuing her studies at the Birmingham Conservatoire in England as a Rotary Scholar. She later completed her master’s degree in Music History and Philosophy at Webster University and performed professionally in Europe, including singing the iconic role of the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute with Opera Festival di Roma.
Above all, Jenn believes music lessons should be a place where children feel safe, supported, and inspired. She pours her heart into every lesson and is committed to helping each student grow not only as a musician, but as a confident and resilient young person.
