Nastasja Stronsick

Nastasja Stronsick is a guitarist and music educator who brings a patient, encouraging, and highly personalized approach to every lesson. A graduate of Cleveland State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Music, Nastasja focused her studies on rock, pop, and jazz and has a particular love for blues and folk music. She began studying guitar at age nine, and her passion for performing grew significantly through her experiences in jazz band and continued musical study.

Growing up in a musical family, Nastasja discovered early that music could be much more than a skill to master. She remembers watching her mother write songs and becoming fascinated by music’s ability to communicate different moods and emotions. Over time, music also became a source of connection, creativity, and community in her own life—qualities she now hopes to share with her students.

In her teaching, Nastasja combines strong musical fundamentals with the music that excites each individual student. Lessons may include technique, music reading, rhythm, improvisation, and soloing alongside favorite songs and styles. She breaks challenging concepts into manageable steps and believes that students learn best when they understand the instrument while still experiencing the joy of making music.

Nastasja is especially attentive to students who feel shy, anxious, or discouraged. Rather than simply pushing through frustration, she tries to understand what is making a student struggle, recognize what the student is already doing well, and build confidence through consistent, achievable progress. When motivation begins to fade, she may introduce musical games, explore a concept in a different way, or simply spend some time making music for fun.

She also believes that successful music education is a partnership between teacher, student, and family. Nastasja keeps parents informed about what their child is learning, provides clear practice assignments, and shares both areas of progress and opportunities for continued growth. Her goal is not simply to help children become better guitarists, but to help them develop lasting habits of persistence, creativity, focus, and a genuine love of music.

Above all, Nastasja wants students to dream big while discovering where music can take them. She approaches each child with patience and care and looks forward to working together with families to help each student turn their musical goals into reality.
