Sharon Violin Teacher Zeynep BalciZeynep Balci is a classically trained violinist and music educator with experience in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance. Originally from Istanbul, Turkey, she holds a Master of Music in Violin Performance from the University of Rhode Island, where she served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Concertmaster of the university’s symphony orchestra.

Before her graduate studies in the U.S., she was also the Concertmaster of the Bahçeşehir University Chamber Orchestra in Istanbul. She has performed in a wide range of musical settings, from solo recitals to chamber music, orchestral concerts, and studio recordings. Each experience has helped shape her collaborative and expressive approach to music.

In 2025, Zeynep received the Robert Fountain Performance Award from the Macro Analysis Creative Research Organization, a recognition of her dedication to thoughtful, high-level performance.

As a teacher, Zeynep works with students of all ages in violin, piano, and music theory. Her approach emphasizes encouragement, curiosity, and creating a supportive environment where students can grow not only as musicians but also as confident, creative individuals. She believes in making music learning both structured and joyful, helping each student connect personally with their instrument.
