
Isabel Sorebo
Born and raised in Wisconsin, Isabel began violin at age four and has been immersed in music ever since. She holds a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from Boston University and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Music Education and Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
Isabel has taught students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults, in private lessons, group classes, and school orchestras. She is also the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Boston Metro-West Strings, a nonprofit providing free lessons to children in under-resourced communities.
As a performer, Isabel has played with ensembles such as the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, Apollo Ensemble, and Fox Valley Symphony, and has held leadership roles including concertmaster and chamber ensemble first violinist.
Parents and students describe Isabel as passionate, approachable, and deeply encouraging. She connects with each student by listening closely, celebrating every kind of progress, and balancing structure with creativity. Whether working with a shy beginner or an ambitious teen, Isabel helps students grow in confidence, focus, and joy through music.
