Greyson Hillin is an accomplished Guitarist, Bassist, Composer, and Educator. He is outgoing, friendly, and passionate about teaching. At Berklee College of Music, Greyson studied guitar performance with well renowned players and developed a deep instrumental ability. During his time at Berklee, he maintained a steady performing schedule and built lasting relationships with faculty. He is proficient in a vast amount of musical styles such as Jazz, Rock, Pop, RnB, Folk, Blues, Gospel, Funk, Flamenco and more! Greyson has gained a reputation in Boston as a go-to call for a guitar player. He has been a sideman for numerous bands and artists, played in clubs all throughout Boston, and leads a group of his own. As an educator, Greyson has garnered a reputation for being a kind, patient, and inspiring teacher to students of all ages. He believes Music is freedom, and playing an instrument is a way of expressing your creativity and emotions unlike anything else. Cultivating the joy of making music is the most important aspect of his teaching. Greyson’s mission is to get to know the students musical identity. Finding out what excites them about making music allows him to tailor his teaching to each individual student, and help them achieve their own musical goals. Greyson’s students are inspired to practice and grow because of how fun the lessons are! Once goals have been set, he creates a plan that allows them to be achieved while teaching essential techniques and music knowledge. Greyson’s goal isn’t just to teach the guitar, but create a well rounded musician.
